Well today I broke down and bought a MacBook Pro.....it was overdue! I had been fighting and begging my PC to behave or I'd hafta replace him...well today was the last straw!! I took a trip to the Apple Store at our NorthStar Mall and I left lighter in my bank account, but heavier in my computer-loving heart!
The countdown is down to 71 days till I graduate nursing school and I can't wait for it all to be over!! I currently have an "A" in Advanced...which was very shocking for me! LOL We all got our gradation packets the beginning of February...so there's a list of things that need to be done before we graduate. Like purchase our Pin for the RN Pinning ceremony, our cap/gowns, apply to the Texas Board of Nursing, get our finger prints done for the BON, and then apply with Pearson Vue (where we take our NCLEX exam after graduation) whew...if its not one thing, its another! LOL
I started a new job at St. Lukes Baptist Hospital...which is about 20 miles closer to home!! I got it working in Labor & Delivery as a CST (certified scrub tech) and when I graduate I will be crossing over to the RN side!! YAY!!! It has been a definite change of scenery for me...going from five 8 hour shifts a week to only three 12 hour shifts a week...its wonderful! I have more time to study and spend with my hubby!!
Our one year anniversary is coming quickly and I'll be sure to post a picture of that wonderful moment of celebration!!
