5 months......

I can't believe my girl is 5 months old already! Its been a long month. lol Genesis' stats:

-roll both directions
-ears pierced
-loves to bounce in her bouncy gym.
-loves apples w/cereal
-laughs all the time
-grabs her feet; which she is VERY ticklish
-tries to sit up, but can't sit up completely straight; more slumped over trying to grab her toes!
-likes to scream/talk
-wears size 6 months tops and 3-6 month bottoms
-size 2 diapers

Its been a crazy month. My good friend lost her son, Grayson one day before she was supposed to be induced, due to a placenta abruption. Its crazy that it happened so quickly. Another friend of a friend lost their 3 year old for no known reason; they just found him that morning dead. Now I'm paranoid; I constantly listen for her while I'm sleeping; which leads to no sleep. Doesn't help for my anxiety. Just taking one day at a time!

Still working Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays. As soon as a third shift opens on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, I'll be working the 3rd shift...so a 9am-7pm job...sweet...can't wait!

Genesis has started solids. We did start with cereal and now have moved on to Bananas...which I believe that she had a reaction to; she had 3 red spots show up on her face, not sure if its an allergic reaction, so I'm gonna avoid it for a while and we've moved on to Apples with some cereal mixed in it. She loves it!! Next will be squash!! YAY She's a very vocal eater....lol, its so cute to hear her while she eats! love it!!

We're supposed to be going to mexico the end of March, but i"m a little hesitant and scared to go due to the border issues. We've got Genesis to think about now...so not sure if we're going to go or not! Hmmmmmm.............but I really want her to meet her great grandparents and her mexican family! Its such a tough decision, but her safety comes first!!

4 months

Here's her 4 month pictures. I can't believe that she's 4 months already. She had her 4 month vaccinations on Wednesday and she actually wound up getting a fever over them. Didn't sleep one wink and kept me up for almost a full day (and I had to work the next day) So its been a crazy couple of days!
She started some organic rice cereal at night and she absolutely loves it! And she loves to hear mommy make funny faces and noises while she eats! LOL


She grows and changes everyday! Soon she'll be sitting up and crawling...it's crazy how fast time goes by!!!

4 months already??

WOW!! I cannot believe that its been 4 months already since our beautiful daughter has come into our lives!!




So much has changed with our "boogie" since last month! She smiles so much now and loves to babble to us! Its the cutest thing in the whole wide world! She has finally decided that she will take a pacifier! (Thank god) and can take it out and put it back in herself! She also can roll from her tummy to her back and has rolled once from her back to her tummy!

We no longer have Genesis in daycare. Our awesome neighbor, Sherry offered to watch her when we need her when Daniel isn't in town. Its great and I trust her so very much! I know that she's in wonderful hands; I don't worry like I did when she had to go to Daycare!! No more diarrhea and she's still battling the cold that she had gotten on her last day at daycare. BOOOOOO

Tomorrow she will go for 4 month shots; I'm not looking forward to it. Daniel is out of town and I'll have to be strong for Genesis. I hope I can do it. I know the pediatrician pierces ears, but I think we have to wait until she's 6 months old! We'll haft do it eventually; I don't think I can wait for her to decide to do it, I'd rather do it when she's younger than older.

Still breastfeeding; getting easier, but pumping is still a task. Needed to get a prescription for Reglan to help increase my milk supply and I even tried a recipe that has several "galactogouges" (milk producers) in chocolate chip oatmeal cookies....hey anything that'll help! LOL So I'm still able to keep ms genesis exclusively drinking breast milk! Thank goodness! :-)

12 weeks....

I can't believe that my Boogie is 12 weeks old today!

She had her first day at "school" yesterday while mommy went to work for a couple of hours; I officially start back full time on Tuesday, 1/3/12. She didn't take a single bottle while at school, so I'm worried now. So the whole weekend will be consumed with trying out different bottles...AGAIN! Whew! The teachers at school said that she was smiling and happy, just wouldn't take a bottle! :-( But everyone there is so nice, so I know that she's in good hands! I'll just feel better when she eats there!

1st Christmas!

We traveled up to Killeen for Genesis' first Christmas. It was a wonderful relaxing weekend. She received her first presents from Omi/Opi and Aunt Gina/Uncle Chris and Gina's parents, Rose & Dale. She loved every single present! :-) I can't wait for next year when she can enjoy it a little more and comprehend whats going on.

She got her first picture with Santa; sadly she slept thru meeting him! lol But the picture turned out really cute!
