WE ARE HOME OWNERS!!! YAY


We spent our morning getting carpal tunnel and signing the gazillion pages that needed to be signed to own some property! What a wonderful day as well because today we're 21 weeks preggie too!
We're so excited to finally have a place to call our own!! Now to clean and re-paint the inside and then move our stuff in! YAY



On another note...we purchased our baby bedding...besides the swing, this is our first big purchase (decision) made for the baby! Scary...

Whew..............

Happy 20 weeks!! Well now its almost 21 weeks. My baby is almost the length of a carrot...on the internet they say that it will be about 10 1/2 inches long...thats crazy!! Seems like only yesterday it was the size of a sesame seed!



I was having some technical difficulties with getting on to blog on this spot. It kept denying my password--yuck, but it finally works now. So I'm on to catch you up since the last time I posted.


Okay..the baby is definitely half mexican. I've never been much of a hot salsa eater with my breakfast tacos; but that day I NEEDED it with my pappas con huevo(potato with egg) taco...it was the most satisfying breakfast I've had in a long time! LOL

I went to something for work called Nationwide 2011. I work for a company called DaVita Dialysis. I am a Registered Nurse/Facility Administrator, which means I am in charge of my very own dialysis clinic! Well Nationwide is an annual 3 day conference for all the Facility Administrators in the nation to get together and discuss/celebrate last years accomplishments. Our last night there is formal night:

It was weird dressing up and very expensive...stupid maternity dresses are ridiculously overpriced!! But it was comfortable and at the time thats all I cared about!

On a wonderful note: we close on our first house on Tuesday! I'm so very excited!! Its been overwhelming; trying to schedule water, electric, duct cleaning, air conditioning servicing, internet/cable, & sewage/waste management. Whew, there should be a list to help out first time home owners: IT CRAZY!! My awesome brother and his wife, Chris & Gina will come down next week for a first glimpse inside our new home. My sister, Gina will help me with the nursery...since Daniel isn't too involved in decorating! LOL So she's going to help me find an awesome green paint for calming and we' re going to paint the baby room before we officially set up the baby room! YAY

Back to the baby; I've been feeling it more and more frequently...its awesome. It moves when I talk or cough (getting over being sick) or when I eat something really cold...its crazy, I'll try to do it on purpose to feel it move!!

UGH and heartburn has reared its ugly head in my daily life!! Sad...I even got it after eating a banana...seriously WTH? LOL If the myth is true...I'll have to give my baby a haircut right out of the womb! LOL

Well I'll post more pics after Tuesday; after Daniel and I are proud homeowners! YAY!!!

19 weeks!!

They tell me that there's a baby in there! LOL I'm starting to feel him/her a little more frequently than just at bedtime...it still excites me to feel my little boogie tap and tell me that he/she's there.

Sleeping has started to become difficult..I just can't seem to get comfortable! UGH-anyone mommies have any advice for me? I know that it will get worse the bigger I get and the more active my boogie gets...but I need sleep!! LOL

Ultrasound time..........

So my mom came to visit this weekend so she could go to the ultrasound! It was wonderful to see how big he/she has gotten! The ultrasound pics are hilarious...I love the 2 cyborg pics that show only one eye! LOL Or the one that looks like he/she is smiling! LOL But of course the sweet one is the one of him/her sucking his/her thumb! Love it!!

He/She was moving so much to include crossing his/her legs so I couldn't sneak a peek to see if I had a little girl or boy growing inside of me. Even though Daniel doesn't want to know, I was kinda hoping to catch a glimpse to see if there was a bun or a hot dog!! LOL oh well...I guess I have to wait until the next ultrasound or until October.
Still haven't felt the baby frequently...a tap here or there...but nothing consistently...I wish I could...it would make me feel better to feel him/her every day- especially since I don't find it financially smart to purchase a doppler (the device that lets you hear the baby's heartbeat) There are several woman on the babycenter community I visit that have purchased ($300) or rented ($40/month) so they can hear their baby daily. Its a great idea, but that money could buy the crib and then some!

Well, its official...we will be closing on our house on the 31st of May! I can't believe it that in 16 days we will be the owners of a new house! CRAZY! We already have the Duct cleaning and A/C maintenance appointment set up for the Friday afterwards and then start moving in on the 4th of June.

18 weeks!!

Okay, I'm starting to feel huge and its only 18 weeks!! :-) We have our big ultrasound on Friday, May 13th; we're not going to find out what the baby is....I really want to know.....ah the things that we do for love...daniel really wants it to be a surprise; so I'm doing it for him mostly!! lol
I think that I've been feeling the baby, but not really sure what its supposed to feel like; but I think I feel tapping at night time when I lay down for bed....but I know that it'll be coming on stronger and then I'll be feeling him/her everyday!! Can't wait for that!! My mom is coming down tomorrow so she can come to the ultrasound on Friday..its great that she gets to see this booger (boogie has been what I've been calling it) Can't wait to see her tomorrow!! YAY

Well good news! We got the house...everything is finished, just waiting to close...we're pushing for the 26th of May due to the 31st being on a tuesday and with Daniel's work schedule, a thursday is much more convenient!! The only hold up is if the sellers can move out by then! Whew, I'll be sure to keep you updated! YAY

The house

The inspection went well today...nothing too major! YAY So from here, we'll see what happens. The sellers are going to steam clean all the carpets throughout the house (thats already in the contract) but trying to see if they'll clean out the vents throughout the house as well. (they have 2 dogs and a longhaired cat and I prefer to start out nice and fresh when they move out)
So probably have the appraisal done this week sometime and we'll see from there!

On a sad note, Daniel leaves again for another week, this time to Illinois! BOOOOO, he better not miss our 19 week ultrasound on the 13th of May!! Ugh, he's been gone already for 2 weeks and now for another! YUCK!
