Happy Thanksgiving!!

Miss Genesis had a wonderful first Thanksgiving with mommys' family in Killeen, TX I never realized how much items you need to pack for a 6.5 week old, but holy moly, my poor SUV was loaded. It started our thinking that we need a different vehicle..especially if we plan to expand our family soon. whew, now what to get and will we be able to find it used?

The food and company was fantastic...its been a year since we've been up to see my family (they're been coming down my way to visit) since I got promoted at work and wasn't able to break away to head up there.

Speaking of work; I've decided to go back as a Charge Nurse and take a demotion from being a Facility Administrator. I'm looking forward to just going to work 3 days a week and enjoy my evenings with my family; no more 16 hour days; no more calls at 2am from an employee calling in sick (constantly) I'll be able to clock in and clock out and just be with my family with no extra after work responsibilities. With the days that I'll be Charging (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) Genesis will only have to be in daycare one day a week!! Thank god! Daniel travels for work usually Sunday thru Wednesday! So Daniel will be able to watch Genesis while I"m at work on Thursdays and Saturdays! Whew.
Hopefully we can get my car paid off and then soon I'll be able to quit entirely and be a stay at home mommy! At least thats my dream; so I guess we'll see if I can make my dreams come true! LOL

Well I will post again soon..she'll be 2 months next Saturday; so be ready for those pics!

Tough Decisions

Its been almost 6 weeks since my life changed; and the more time I spend with Genesis the more I don't want to go back to work. But I will b/c I have to pay for everything. For the past almost 7 years I have been supporting Daniel so he can achieve his dream of his soccer league. I know that he's almost there with the league; but I can't help but feel resentment towards him. When will it be my turn to be taken care of? When will I get to be the woman in the relationship and have a man take care of me? Sometimes I think maybe it'll be better to just do this alone........just me and Genesis. If I have to pay for everything, why have another child(adult) that I have to take care of? I'm tired of the responsibility of paying for everything!!!!!!!

Originally I was going to stop being a Facility Administrator and drop to being just a charge nurse.....3 days a week/12 hour shifts....no after work responsibilities; just go to work and go home. Problem is: shift starts at 445am....there are no daycares open that early! Daniel won't quit his job at Vantage b/c he needs the money for his soccer league, UGH!! So now I have to shell out $1K/month for daycare...me, not him! If I decide to stay being an FA, then I'll wind up charging anyways b/c they don't have a TTS charge hired right now. I can't do that b/c hence no daycares are open and Daniel travels too much!! Whew

I really don't know what to do anymore.............

One month

Already?!?! I can't believe it!!



Days are pretty routine and kinda like Groundhogs day...but its been wonderful with my little Boogie. She has such a sweet personality already! She's starting to make more "oohs" and "ahh" noises and playful grunts while she's trying to eat. Its funny to see her get a little frustrated when she can't get on my boob fast enough!

She enjoyed her first Halloween, she even helped mommy & daddy pass out candy to a couple of kids; then she passed out! She went as a pumpkin, thanks to Uncle Chris & Aunt Gina for buying her awesome costume!


Miss Genesis is an aspiring model. My friend, Becky has a cousin who makes dresses, etc and made a modeling card for Genesis.

She can only do hair bows for right now because she's so little, but eventually it will be dresses. She booked her first gig so just waiting to get the bows in the mail and i'll start the pics! YAY

At her 2 week appointment she weighed 7lbs 13oz..so happy because 4 days after she was born she was down to 6lbs 11oz. She also grew an inch & a half..she's now 21.5 inches! Our next appt will be her 2 month appt; she's going to get shots, not looking forward to that one!!

Well i will continue to update; especially after Thanksgiving!! :-)
