And almost 16 weeks.............

Well since the last post we were waiting for a house we placed an offer on....sadly the sellers realtor was a douche and told them that they should be getting waay more than what the house is worth and so we walked away....its definitely for the best!
We did find another house yesterday that we fell in love with! One story (thank god, no more stairs) complete with TONS of upgrades, 4 bedrooms/2 baths and a HUGE backyard! So we're putting in the bid at noon today....keeping my fingers crossed that we get this AWESOME house!! *sigh* I really don't want to be disappointed in losing another house...especially a house this awesome; that has everything that we want/need in a house.

On the baby note...I'm starting to pop a little. Daniel had left for work for 5 days and when he hugged me yesterday, he said that he could definitely feel the difference in my stomach. Still no movements from this booger. Sometimes at night time I swear I feel tapping/bubbles, but maybe I"m wanting to feel it too much, so I'm not sure if I am really feeling something. Hopefully within the next 4 weeks I'll start feeling this guy/gal.
No symptoms much anymore. I do have a stuffy nose all the time; not sure if thats the pregnancy or my allergies (since it hasn't rained in a gazillion years here) Finally have my appetite back; went to a BBQ with Daniel's family last night and ate my first fajita meat since finding out I was pregnant and I actually loved it (again) and ate a huge plate of beans, rice, and fajita. HUGE improvement to my appetite; hopefully now I"ll gain the weight that I lost from the first trimester (6 pounds; not good when you're already thin)

So I will be taking a picture of the belly on Tuesday morning, since I"ll be 16 weeks then. Chat with you all soon; and keep you updated on everything going on with us!! XOXOXOX

Almost 15 weeks......

Well hello all, I got to see my new OB-Dr. Aspen Smith, a friend of mine I've known since my time working at St. Lukes' Labor & Delivery. Now even though I won't be delivering at St. Lukes Baptist (I'd rather deliver at Methodist Women's Pavilion) I still wanted Aspen to be my OB since I know how she works during labor.

We didn't get so see our little bean this appointment, only a doppler of the glorious heart beat! But that was better than anything!! Our next ultrasound will be the 13th of May...I'll 18w 3d and my mom says that she's going to try and come down for that appointment!

So I'm including a new belly pic; haven't really seen a difference, but its definitely more difficult to suck in! LOL

On a side note, Daniel & I walked away from the build with KB homes. There was some information that we found out about the land and we would prefer to just walk away now before it was too late. So we began our search again for a house and this time we are going for an established community. We found a wonderful house that I'm absolutely in love with. Its almost 2700 square feet, it has a gigantic back yard, upgraded kitchen, 4 bedrooms and an extra loft, and a beautiful sunroom. We gave our first offer last night, so let the bidding war begin between me and the seller! LOL

Will be sure to keep you guys updated and please keep your fingers crossed for us!!

Almost 14 weeks..........

Well almost 14 weeks and lot has happened. On March 30th I got into a car accident...a chick ran a red light and I hit her...the front of my car is totaled and they are able to repair it. We did go to the ER afterwards due to cramping I was experiencing. So we went to Methodist and got to have an ultrasound to make sure that the baby was okay. And the ultrasound tech was wonderful...she let us watch our little booger for almost 10 minutes....he/she has long legs and moved a lot...especially when I spoke to it. It was the most amazing experience yet...I have no idea why we didn't record it, but I can only think that it was 2am and we just were too tired to remember to grab our cell phones.

I found out that the VA will pay for my pregnancy and delivery and 8 weeks postpartum. I'm so excited...but unfortunately I had to drop my OB...which is okay because I get to go back to my first choice for OB-Dr. Aspen Smith. I got to work with her while I worked at St. Lukes...she's a wonderful OB and would let me labor as long as I needed to and would do a fantastic job sewing me up if I were to tear. The only thing is that I would be going to Methodist Womens instead of St. Lukes.
But I have an appointment with Dr. Smith this upcoming Friday...so stay tuned for another ultrasound pic/video!! YAY

I took a pic this morning of my belly...so I know its not a food belly because I hadn't eaten yet! LOL

So I'm kinda stuck in the stage where I don't look preggie, more like I haven't gone to the gym in a long time. I can't wait until my belly is a little more defined!
