Well...after a wonderful positive pregnancy test (both pee and blood) my body has decided that that wasn't the baby for us. So now I'm sadly going through a miscarriage...not fun, not fun at all!!
So we're back to square one:at least we'll have fun trying again!

Sunday, October 25, 2009

Alright, well I am officially 3 days late! I took my first pregnancy test today and there is a second line, but its really really faint. So I contacted my "Trying to Conceive" website and a friend there inverted the pic and said based on her experience (she has 3 kiddos) that it is a positive PG test...so now I just hafta wait a couple days to see if my HcG doubles and shows up a little more darker next time!
Cross your fingers! YIPPEE

And the anticipation is killing me........
WARNING* Anyone reading this is about to embark into the world of TMI!**
Well I am officially waiting for my period to NOT arrive. I have been reading too many articles, websites, books, etc and now I have pumped myself up too much! I did feel mini-cramplets about 3 days ago...which I usually don't have cramps until day 1 of AF. Also this morning a woke up to a wierd soreness and tingling in the boobies...now I may be thinking myself to having these symptoms, b/c I so dearly want to be preggo. So I will wait (impatiently) until next week to see if I am right or very very wrong. UGH the torture!

Practice makes perfect.....
Well it's official...Daniel and I are trying to concieve a baby! It's month number one and the picture above shows that I am indeed about to ovulate...its called an LH Surge (lutinizing hormone) luckily I am in maternal/pediatric health in school right now and I am fully aware that the LH surge is a hormone that is released about 24-36 hours before you ovulate or release an egg.
So the countdown is on to see how long it will take us to get pregnant! WOW, I'm actually anxious, nervous, and impatient...I really hope that it doesn't take us forever to get pregnant!
Wish us luck!

Has it been that long already?
It has been quite a while since I've blogged here. Update: I'm finally in my 2nd to last semester in Nursing school and I am absolutely loving Pediatrics. I get to do Neonates and Labor & delivery in about 4 weeks, so I may love that too! LOL
Daniel and I have finally settled into the new apartment and I had my spinal cord stimulator surgery on the 3rd of August!

This was after my surgery and the representative for Boston Scientific was about to turn on my stimulator!

Here's what the incisions looked like. The one along my spine is where they implanted the leads into my spinal cord and then they tunnel under my skin to the butt incision where the battery is implanted! LOL
Daniel and I also booked a cruise for New Years!! Should be fun and relaxing to just get away! Its only a 4 day cruise, but it'll be nice.
On another note, on August 30th, Daniel and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary of being together. Its been such a long time since we first started dating! We thought about old times in South Carolina, being in the army, and all the adventures that we've been thru! So here's to another 10 years!
Well I'll post again soon!! Back to studying!!

And we're moved in.......
Whew-we moved in on Friday, the 24th of July...thankfully I have a wonderful friend, Lynell-who brought herself and 2 of her children(teenagers) to help us move! We were completely moved out of the shithole in 4 hours!! Thats what I'm talking about! We already had our move out walk thru and we should be getting everything back that we deposited!
The dogs are loving the extra space...they'll be in major shape by the time we move out of here. At first they were scared to go up the stairs, but with a treat, they were both convinced to go up there.....now there's no stopping them from tearing up and down those stairs. It sounds like a stampede sometimes! LOL

Our kitchen...its so nice that Daniel and I can both be in the kitchen at the same time now! Ah, the things we take for granted!

Our lovely porch...and tomato plants that I hope will give us some beautiful tomatoes soon!

Stairs...who hasn't seen those?

The beautiful front loading washer and dryer that my parents got for us for a wedding present! Ah...I was so excited to start some laundry!
Well the date has been set for the spinal cord stimulator. I'll be having the surgery on the 3rd of August. So I'll be spending the week up in Killeen so my mommy can take care of me afterwards.
Well I'll be sure to post pics after the surgery! Talk to you laters!
Auf Wiedersehen!

A dinner date and SeaWorld.....

Well we FINALLY got a dinner date. Sure, it was a work "going-away" party, but it still counts. We got to get dressed up and leave the house...thats great for me! And we woke up this morning and decided to swing by SeaWorld for a turn on the Steel Eel...I love that rollercoaster! Thank goodness for season passes!!

The countdown is now down to 5 days until we get to move! For some reason I think the neighbors on top of us know that we're leaving, so they're gonna make sure that they wake us up every night until we leave. Thats alright, we'll be up early the day that we move! "ooops" I'm sorry we keep smacking the wall! LOL "Did we wake you up?"

Thought I'd include a pic of how lazy our dog Jack is. Sad that he can't stand up and eat....no, jack has to lay and eat! Silly dog
The next countdown for me is my surgery...15 days until I get my permanent Spinal Cord Stimulator. Little nervous, but excited to be done with all this pain!! Stay tuned for new pictures of our new steps forward in our lives!

And the countdown is on.....
Well as of today there is 11 days until we move out of our shithole apartment and move into our new townhouse!

Daniel and I can't wait to start a new life in this apartment;stressful and I don't have to worry about the fat neighbors on top of us waking us up in the middle of the night! Yippee. Now if anyone stomps on the floor, I'll go up there and tell Daniel to stop! LOL We'll be getting over 400 more square feet than what we're living in now. My wonderful parents bought us these wonderful LG front-loading washer and dryer...I've never been so excited to do laundry! Now we don't have to take it to his mothers house and deal with all that drama!
So we've been slowly packing and WOW, I never realized how much stuff you accumulate over time! LOL Whew-so we're doing some "summer cleaning" getting rid of stuff that we don't want to take with us to the new apt!
Well the date has been set and I will be having the Spinal Cord Stimulator permanent implant surgery done on the 3rd of August. I will going home for a week with my mommy, so she can take care of me. A little nervous but I'm so ready to be pain-free! I've been waiting for this surgery for almost 2 years now...so bring it on!
My last year of Nursing School starts the 24th of August. So the countdown is on! Only 300 days left! LOL From there, we can't decide where to go for our honeymoon (yes it will be about 1.5 years late) so its between Germany and Hawaii! I've been to Hawaii twice, but Daniel hasn't. And then I would love to go back home to Germany and see my hometown and my family. So I have a feeling that Germany is going to win! LOL
Well back to packing up our little apartment. Talk to you again after we move to the new place and maybe after my surgery (wait for those pictures! LOL) Tata for now! LOL

June Already??????
Well it is the 1st of June! Can you beleive it? Daniel and I have been married the
8th of June for 4 months....still feels like we've been dating! LOL
Today we officially turned in our 60 day notice to the apartments letting them know we're outta here!! So 52 days until we're out of this shithole! Ugh, I hate this place. I had to work a late shift Saturday night into Sunday morning and wasn't able to get to sleep until around 730 and the fuckers upstairs woke me up at 10am...ugh I can't wait to leave!!
Well 4 weeks until I'm finished with this semesters classes...I can't wait to just relax before nursing classes start up again!
Nothing really much to alert you guys to. My oldest brother, Chris is coming to visit for a week with his family Gina, Brett, and Hunter. We'll have a pretty busy week..so stay tuned for those pictures!

Work, Sociology, and Algebra---OH MY!
Well summer session is in full swing and I already have my verdict...algebra isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. As for Sociology-its really not my bag baby! I think I prefer black and white stuff...not really the thinking "grey" in between info.
Well its officially 64 days until Daniel and I move into our new apartment! I cannot wait to have a peaceful day (and night) without the 400 pound elephant that lives on top of us! Whew...thank god for townhouses! And I'm sure the kids (dogs) will love the extra space as well. We'll be increasing our living space by 400 square feet..can't wait. Plus, FINALLY adding a washer and dryer of our own into the apartment...woohoo...no more going to the mother-n-law to do the laundry!
We went home to Killeen this past weekend for my brother and nephews' birthday. It rained, but we still managed to have a great BBQ. Shortly after eating, my nephew decided that we weren't cool enough and missed his girlfriend and decided to leave. He just turned 15...and he's dating an 18 year...does anyone else see a problem with them besides me? Anyhoo...it was a great weekend.

Isn't it funny that my mom's dogs are miniture versions of our dogs? From left to right (besides Daniel and my mom) Jack, Lexi, Melia, and Cheyanne
The decision has been made to go off the birth control in November-ish. So pray for a baby soon!! A little scared to think about being a mother, but excited as well. Hopefully we won't be waiting forever after stopping the BC. Only time will tell.
Off to get some Chinese for dinner. Bye ya'll

How Stimulating......

The picture above is similar to the procedure that I had..except I don't have it implanted yet.
Well yesterday was the big day. I had the surgery for the trial spinal cord stimulator. I was awake during the whole surgery and wasn't given any anesthesia. Nope, they only used some local anesthetic and that's it! Whew...it was scary! The surgery went well, but boy am I sore today! My back in killing me, thank god for drugs! LOL
But besides the soreness, the stimulator is working wonderfully! I slept last night for the first time in about 5 years without any pain..and today at work...usually after about 3 hours I am hurting really badly, but no pain! Woohoo...sadly, the only thing that hurts is my back!
But anyhoo...Daniel and I preleased our new apartment on Sunday. It's a nice Townhouse with about 400 more square feet than what we have right now. We're so excited about being able to do laundry at our own house..and not his mothers house! LOL So we officially move in on the 24th of July....can't wait! So 79 days and counting!
The summer session has officially started. I'm so not looking forward to the Algebra, but Sociology sounds fun! Well off to finish homework! Talk to you again soon!

Well its about time!!!

Check out our wedding pictures:
http://www.christinadanielswedding.shutterfly.com
Let me know what you guys think! MUAH
Its been such a very long time since I've written. But as you can tell by the picture, we're finally married!! The days since the wedding have just flown by. The time has been flying because of work and school. I am officially finished with my first year of nursing school! Whew, this past semester was really hard! I"m so glad that it's over. I am going to be taking summer classes, but its just Algebra and Sociology...piece of cake after nursing school AND its online so it's gonna wonderful to see my family more often, since my weekends won't be consumed by clinicals!!
Daniel and I decided to move out of our crappy apartments that we've been living in..but we have to wait until July to do it, unless we decide to break lease! LOL We have some really bad neighbors living on top of us that are loud and walk like they're 500 pound elephants and they pace all night long while their children jump on our bedroom floor at all hours of the night. We're pretty fed up with calling in security and then management does nothing about it!! So we're wondering whether or not we can use that to get out of our lease?? We'll see!?
Well as many of you guys know, I have something called RSD(regional sympathetic disorder) its a chronic neuropathy in my left foot that I got after the multiple surgeries while i was in the army. Well the pain is really bad, it feels like electricity shooting up my foot and up to the back of my knee every time I take a step, or if I wear the wrong socks, or even if the covers at night hit my foot just right....so....I've been seeing pain management for a while, thru a civilian and I was approved by my insurance to have this surgery, but come to find out, even my part of the payment would of been too expensive for me. So I finally got into the pain management clinic at the VA (since it was the army that screwed me up)...I had to wait 8 months to get into it. So after another round of injections of phenol and botox and steroids..and an uptake in my pain meds (methadone-no I'm not a recovering heroine addict, LOL)I have finally been approved for a procedure called Spinal Cord Stimulator. ITs a 2 part procedure: the first surgery is a temporary trial...I wear these leads in my back for a week with a "remote control" and if it helps relieve my pain, then we proceed to the implanted surgery. I"m a little nervous, but desperate to have the pain gone and to stop all the pain meds that I'm on!!
SO wish me luck on monday. Its an outpatient procedure and I"ll be able to go to work the next day!
Since I'll have a little more time this summer session, I'll be sure to post more blogs and not be a stranger like I have been! Hope all is well in your worlds and with your family! MUAH-love you guys!

Has it been that long?
Hello, well from the looks of it, its been almost a month since I've written on here. Well, updates...lets see....where to begin. Its 26 days until we're married and we're pretty much done with the big stuff. Now its just waiting for the RSVP's to come in so we can do the place cards and seating arrangements. The food, music, hair, makeup, and officiant are all chosen, now its time to just relax(not really) until the wedding day!
Daniel and I have added yet another stressful tasks to our daily routine-we're looking for a house. Also, to add to that, we're trying to have a house before we're married...can you say "nuts?" LOL So on top of the full time work, full time school, and wedding plans, we are adding another bullet to the gun! LOL
I cannot wait for March to be gone! LOL
This past Saturday night I had my bachelorette party. So below are some pics of the great night!

The girls that all went by the stretch Excursion Limo we got!!

Me and my girl, Erin

Me and my mommy
Well, I'll be sure to write a little more frequently and let you know how the house hunting and wedding plans are going.

Its a beautiful (and exhausting) day!!
Hey the countdown is down to 49 days! We're picked our caterer-Heavenly Gourmet, and let me tell you...their food definitely meets the criteria of their name! LOL The food is going to be so freakin good...I'm hungry right now just thinking about it!
We have a meeting with the DJ tomorrow..time to go over the jams we want to dance to!
Then this saturday and sunday coming up I have hair and makeup. Luckily my mom is coming down this friday, so I"ll be able to get her opinion about the hair and the makeup!
We got the invitations out and we already got our first RSVP!! Daniel said that we should send her a prize for the first return! LOL
So back in November, when I went home for Thanksgiving, I had purchased (with my mom's opinion) these round glass bowls to do the centerpieces with. So yesterday, Daniel and I took a trip to Michael's Craft store and we found these great clear and lime green crystal stone thingies that will be placed in the bottom and then have the same light pink gerbera daisies floating on water. I'm including a picture, but the color of the daisies are too dark, remember they will be lighter at the wedding...and I'm going to buy more glass thingies to place in the bottom. Let me know what you think!

Ah, away from the wedding, things are going good in school-I got a 92 on my first exam of the semester! WOOHOO!!
Daniel and I have a meeting with a mortgage lender on Friday morning...getting pre-approved for our first house. So the search has started with what kind of house we're like to purchase...3 or 4 bedrooms, nice kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and of course a great backyard for Lexi and Jack to run as much as they want to!!
So I'll keep in touch as the date comes closer!! And let you know how things go with the house hunt!!
Hope everyone is in good healthy and happy spirits! MUAH! Love ya!

Happy New Year!!!!
Can you believe that its 2009??? Man, years are just flying by and I don't like it one bit! Daniel and I returned from a great 5 days in Mexico with his family! It was exhausting and relaxing at the same time. We were constantly in the car driving from place to place, but it seems that time stands still in mexico! There's no TV, no internet, nada. Its wonderful. So wonderful, in fact, that I've been thinking of canceling my cable subscription....maybe! LOL
While in Monclova, we tried once again to see if we could get married on the 31st and still no luck with the stupid judge! Blah! Oh well!
But we did decide that since we're not going to have a honeymoon until after I graduate from Nursing school, that we're going to go to Mexico the week after we get married. We'll be having a huge "turnaboda" which is this huge wedding after party, in Nueva Rosita- which is the town that Daniel's grandparents live in. They have a huge ranch in the country, so we're going to go to the ranch from his grandparents house in a horse and carriage. All it will cost us is 4 cases of beer for the drivers. His uncle is going to get a generator, b/c there's no electricity at the ranch, so we're going to try and find a kareoke machine and they will decorate the ranch with lights and everything! Should be fun, and there will be lots of food and alcohol...and we probably won't be going to bed until the next morning or afternoon!!
But we had a great New Year in Mexico and now back to the grind of the U.S. Ugh..I didn't miss the fast pace of San Antonio. Its back to school on Monday and back to being completely stressed out and exhausted!
But 63 days until Daniel and I get married and I'm so ready to get it over with and be married already! The only thing left to do is food tasting and finding our caterer and then figuring out what kind of centerpieces that we're going to be doing and thats it!! LOL
Well hope you all had a wonderful new year! MUAH! Love ya!
