Let me know what you guys think! MUAH
Its been such a very long time since I've written. But as you can tell by the picture, we're finally married!! The days since the wedding have just flown by. The time has been flying because of work and school. I am officially finished with my first year of nursing school! Whew, this past semester was really hard! I"m so glad that it's over. I am going to be taking summer classes, but its just Algebra and Sociology...piece of cake after nursing school AND its online so it's gonna wonderful to see my family more often, since my weekends won't be consumed by clinicals!!
Daniel and I decided to move out of our crappy apartments that we've been living in..but we have to wait until July to do it, unless we decide to break lease! LOL We have some really bad neighbors living on top of us that are loud and walk like they're 500 pound elephants and they pace all night long while their children jump on our bedroom floor at all hours of the night. We're pretty fed up with calling in security and then management does nothing about it!! So we're wondering whether or not we can use that to get out of our lease?? We'll see!?
Well as many of you guys know, I have something called RSD(regional sympathetic disorder) its a chronic neuropathy in my left foot that I got after the multiple surgeries while i was in the army. Well the pain is really bad, it feels like electricity shooting up my foot and up to the back of my knee every time I take a step, or if I wear the wrong socks, or even if the covers at night hit my foot just right....so....I've been seeing pain management for a while, thru a civilian and I was approved by my insurance to have this surgery, but come to find out, even my part of the payment would of been too expensive for me. So I finally got into the pain management clinic at the VA (since it was the army that screwed me up)...I had to wait 8 months to get into it. So after another round of injections of phenol and botox and steroids..and an uptake in my pain meds (methadone-no I'm not a recovering heroine addict, LOL)I have finally been approved for a procedure called Spinal Cord Stimulator. ITs a 2 part procedure: the first surgery is a temporary trial...I wear these leads in my back for a week with a "remote control" and if it helps relieve my pain, then we proceed to the implanted surgery. I"m a little nervous, but desperate to have the pain gone and to stop all the pain meds that I'm on!!
SO wish me luck on monday. Its an outpatient procedure and I"ll be able to go to work the next day!
Since I'll have a little more time this summer session, I'll be sure to post more blogs and not be a stranger like I have been! Hope all is well in your worlds and with your family! MUAH-love you guys!
