Well its been a month since I've written or updated on here! Its been crazy lately! I went on pre-maternity leave a week and a half ago; its been wonderful. The stress from work was really taking it toll on me; my blood pressure was all over the place. The diastolic number (the bottom number) was elevated and had one scare where I had some serious swelling in my ankles/feet/calves and had to go into L&D for some labs. I wound up going home and needing to do a 24 hour protein urine collection; luckily everything came back fine; no pre-eclampsia. But I had to monitor my BP daily and I noticed that it would elevate as soon as I was in my work parking lot and would continue my entire work day until I went into bed. This just wasn't healthy for me and my boogie, so the OB placed me on pre-maternity leave until Boogie arrives. Its been wonderful not having to go into work.
I sleep less now due to having to pee every 45-60 minutes and its not even a pee worth getting out of bed for! LOL And rolling over in bed is a major event!! LOL
On September 24th, my brother and sister-n-law came into town for the Heart & Def Leppard concert. This concert was rescheduled from July and man was it awesome!! Besides Ozzy, it was the best concert I've been to!! AWESOME! Even Boogie loved it!!

So at my 36 week 5 day appt I was at 2cm dilated and 70% effaced and at the 37 week 5 day appt I was only at 2.5cm. BOOOOO So I've been doing extra stuff to help things along; I hope that it does work...we'll find out on Friday at my 38 week 5 day appt.
I've been bouncing on my yoga ball, inserting Evening Primerose every night, drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea, using my manual breast pump for nipple stimulation, walking (TONS), sex and even ate Eggplant Parmesan. I'm hoping that at this upcoming appt I will have progressed somewhat. If not, I'm thinking of asking my OB to strip my membranes.
I have been having cramps that are in the front all the way to the back. Braxton Hicks are still coming sporatically, but nothing to prove that its coming soon. Also, all these girls on the babycenter.com website talk about having diarrhea and then going into labor....okay, I haven't had any diarrhea, just normal poops, so not sure if I should expect that or not?!? (Sorry if TMI LOL)
But the baby room is done and the car seat is in the car; just need the baby!! Well I finally have my first set of stretch marks...right in the front around my now popped belly button. I can definitely feel that the baby has dropped but also has put on a lot of weight....whew. Wonder how much this booger will weigh? At my 35 week appt, the ultrasound tech told us 6 pounds already....so I'm thinking 8 pounds? AHHHHH
Well I'm going to go back to bouncing on my yoga ball and pray that this baby is coming soon, I really don't know if I can be patient enough to go to my due date!!!
